What types of objects can be easily spotted with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope?
(As in the objects, astronomical objects in the sky)
With naked eye, you can see Sun (through a filter for eye safety), the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and if you're lucky Mercury too (because it is very close to Sun.) Very occasionally, you could see Uranus (let Part joke) when he was in the opposition, which opposes the direction of the sun in the sky. Then there are nearly five thousand stars distributed almost also between heaven, perfectly mapped into 88 constellations. At any time you can see half the sky. Naked eye you can see up to a magnitude 6.0 stars. The problem is all appear as tiny dots of various colors. Color can be a good identification mark (Venus is a dazzling white, white-yellow Jupiter, Mars is red, brilliant blue Sirius, Betelgeuse is red and so on). All planets (Sun Moon & included) are much brighter than the stars and move along a path that is a circle (closed) called "the ecliptic (Zodiac). Planets (which means "vagabonds") may be noticed to have moved (against the starry background), the next day (Moon) or the much longer time unlike stars (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus in the order of slowness). The Sun's motion can be inferred. You can see a dozen Messier objects, which are clusters of stars (open or globular), a galaxy (Andromeda) and certain "nebulae" ("Orion"). Rarely one can see a comet in a part of the constellation is a misty blob or small elongated tail. These visitors are normally announced before-hand by many noise and cacophony of the learned among humans, so that you can not miss and be well prepared. Meteor showers have their own timetable, as dates of the festival. Information on the time (at night), the "Radial" point (address among the stars from which they appear) of each shower is widely broadcast in the era of 'internet'. Binoculars (7×50) has a 2 "or 50mm lens (35 mm off than I prefer) takes you down to 10.8 magnitude. With it you can just see the disks of planets (do not expect the rings of Saturn or Jupiter's red spot), but not Venus. It reveals a little more Messier objects. But with him, you feel at a distance of 34,000 miles above the moon at the same distance from which a point of view geostationary Earth. Instead of five miles out, you can see about eight hundred thousand. With a telescope of 3 "add a more open scale and you will see a million stars more as points or more galaxies, nebulae and many things more interesting. At this level you need to know the position of the object from a catalog of one million objects and turn carefully. There is so much work. If you have a better telescope (4 1 / 2 "or why not 6?), Even the vibration of the air will foolishly throw the image out of sight. The instrument must be secured with a full knowledge of the coordinates and stuff like that. Until then, you turned into a serious amateur astronomer labeling every small point of light if seen by the eyes or through the telescope and your "target" embedded in a collage as beautiful tiny specks of light. This is a pleasure to see "Pleiades," "Praesepe", "Jewelry Box", "Orion Nebula, Omega Centauri. Andromeda Galaxy is no evidence not in a good amateur telescope. Then you run from Hubble photos of the "net", etc. APOD

Can you please put the following major telescope companies end in sight?
Please rate the companies following the first of the worst in the manufacture of refracting taking into account the following criteria: price, quality / Optics, warranty, support, availability, reputation. The following companies Takahashi, Vixen, Astro-Physics, Tele Vue William Optics. Please also justify your choice.
Takahashi and Astro-Physics are the two on top of your choice. In the same league, but not in your selection of glasses are the TMB. Unfortunately Astro-Physics, while excellent, does not rank high on my list because they are simply not available in all (for me) reasonable period of time. You can spend a year or more before you can even get a waiting list. Me, I would like to take my telescope for a time before dying. This makes Takahashi and TMB TMB with the top choices for a wider range of products Takahashi. Manufacturing and quality is excellent circulation these telescopes. Other companies mentioned also build telescopes of excellent quality, but lack the range of equipment available. In smaller sizes of any of these other companies will provide an excellent telescope. It depends a lot on what you are looking for. Please Please note that people who buy these fields usually only buy them as optical tubes and provide their own mounts. If you want to buy a complete system, Takahashi then would be your first choice. To sum just phenomenal, they will help you set up all complete with go climbing and all goodies. But know that the accessories are sold Takahashi "à la carte", you buy each item separately. Unfortunately society frowns modern practice of selling the wife and children into slavery to finance these high-end equipment. So, good luck:) Adolph
